I interviewed some Nigerians that are legally making serious money online about how they are doing it, some of these we are also doing. Here's what i learnt:

These are 9 digital side hustle you can do with minimal time investment and zero capital.

3). Create courses on Udemy

Udemy is one of the world's largest platforms for selling online courses for just about any topic or subject. As long as you have the proper skills, you can likely teach those skills on a platform like this. However, don't expect it to be easy. 5). Buy and sell domain names

A domain name is just a website address (eg. 'areagig.com' or 'mysite.co.uk') and there are lots of extensions (.com, .net, .co.uk etc).

They cost as little as $0.99 to register with OgaBuy.com yet premium domain names can fetch $1,000s if not millions when sold.

You can turn a quick profit with a bit of searching. The trick is to find available domain names which have some commercial value, snap them up and then list them for sale on a site like Flippa.com

6). Affiliate marketing

If you've got a good presence on social media or perhaps you even have a blog or website, you can start bringing in money immediately by promoting all sorts of companies, products, services and offers online.

7). Online surveys

Paid surveys:

An increasingly popular way for students to make money is to fill out online surveys in their spare time. Research companies are always recruiting new members worldwide to answer surveys and test new products.

For a few minutes of form filling, you can make a couple of quid which is paid as cash or rewards. You can bag up to £3 ($5) for some surveys!

A few good ones to try are: Toluna, i-Say, InboxPounds, LifePoints, Opinion Outpost, Panel Opinion, Onepoll, The Opinion Panel, YouGov, Pinecone, SurveyBods, Hiving, Panel Base, Prolific, Valued Opinions, Survey Junkie,  New Vista.

Also sign up for Swagbucks which rewards you for surveys as well as simply surfing the web, watching videos and playing games.

8). Drop-shipping

If finding a better solution to a problem hundreds or thousands of people have doesn’t seem like an option right now, you might be better off setting up a virtual shop and selling physical items.

These days, this couldn’t be easier. Sites like Shopify have made it easier than ever to build a customizable, powerful eCommerce site in a weekend and start selling products now.

This is probably one of the oldest and most time-tested ways of making money online. Plenty of digital entrepreneurs have created sustainable businesses by either:

Creating physical products they know people in their niche will love
Purchasing low cost goods manufactured in foreign countries, repackaging or combining them with other products, and selling them for higher prices on domestic online marketplaces

While you’ll certainly have higher levels of success if you can nail creating and marketing your own unique product, from my own experience (and that of many other entrepreneurs), I know the extremely high costs and risk associated with starting a product-based business.

Instead, if you can find a solid product that’s already being manufactured at a reasonable price from a marketplace like AliExpress, and market it to your audience, you’ll have the start of a money-making eCommerce machine.

Now, let’s get into the nitty gritty of how your online store is going to operate.

With drop shipping, you’re effectively partnering with a manufacturer or wholesaler to sell their products. This way, you don’t pay upfront costs to buy inventory, aren’t sitting on unsold items taking up expensive warehouse space, and don’t have to deal with shipping the products yourself. You simply create your site, fill it with drop shipable products, and drive in customers, with almost everything else done for you.

Of course, there’s a higher price per product and your margins are lower, but you’re able to start your online store with little more than a Shopify theme and some hosted images of your products. When a customer makes a purchase, you in turn buy the product from your supplier who then ships it directly to your customer.

No inventory. No handling products yourself. No shipping by hand. Sounds pretty amazing.

If you want to supplement selling on your Shopify store with other marketplaces, here are a few other highly lucrative options:

Jumia and Konga: Rather than drop shipping, Jumia lets you store your products in their own warehouses, making them available for fast shipping to customers. Which has been proven to significantly increase sales.

Just be sure to put a lot of care into your product listings. Everything from the titles you use, to how effective the description is at convincing potential buyers your product is better than the rest, and even taking care to shoot high quality product photos can have a dramatic impact on your sales. I recommend using photo editing tools like Fotor, which gives you the ability to edit your images, create captivating graphic designs and more.

9). Become a Personal Shopper

Personal shoppers get paid to shop and run errands, serving clients who are too busy or simply unable to shop for themselves. Purchases might include groceries and other necessary items, but often they’re clothing and accessories. It’s ideal for someone who loves to shop online.

A personal shopper typically interviews clients to get a firm idea of their tastes and their dislikes.
With opportunities from e-commerce giants like Jumia and Konga. You can become a professional personal shopper easily without having to move about, all you need to get started and get on is simply your smart phone and internet access.

Even Kim Kardashian started her journey to success as a personal shopper. If in doubt, google it.

Here are the links to sign-up with Jumia and Konga as a sales agent:

Whether you need any any of this idea or not, you can at least help someone who might do by sharing it with friends on your social media.

Have a blessed future.
