9 Things You CAN'T Control In Life
There are a bunch of things we can’t control as humans. These are things I’ll like to let you know about today. Too many people are unhappy because they do not accept things or circumstances that they cannot change or control. The goal of this article is to make you understand these things so that you won't waste time worrying about them and focus on those things you can control.
Here are 9 things you can’t control in life:
What people think or say about you
Another thing you don’t have control of is what people think about you, as well as what people say about you. You can suggest, demand, implore--you can scream it at the top of your lungs, but you can't always change another person's mind or perspective.
You can't make everyone like, love or forgive you. You can't win their respect if they're not willing to give it. For instance, there must be a certain successful person you know of, probably from your village or neighbourhood, whose wealth is attributed to ritual. These are peoples thoughts, and there’s nothing such a person can do about it. So, rather than argue with someone just because you want them to think good of you, use that time to develop yourself and leave people to their thoughts.
Making Someone Love You
No matter how much you love people, you can’t control their love for you. I have been heartbroken before just as most people have. Sometimes we love people who do not love us in return. Although, real love does not demand that we are loved in return, even if we hope for that.

Genuine love is unconditional. It is impossible to change someone and make them love us. We can buy them roses, give them gifts, try to please them in every way, but we can't buy into loving us. So, don’t spend all your time and energy trying to earn the love of people who don’t love you in return.
Time
Time is another thing that is beyond our control. People waste time because they simply have too much of it, and are not sure what to do with it, that’s how you end up watching a TV-show which you aren’t even enjoying or learning anything from. With wasting time, you are only building up regret, and it all comes full circle when you’re ageing. When people look back at how much time they wasted, how many things they wish they did, it’s sad to see people fall into mediocrity.
Who your parents are
This one is tricky because you don’t get to choose your parents. What you need to understand is that despite differences in approach, almost all parents love their children and want them to be happy. This is biologically true.

So stop wishing you were born by Dangote, Bill gates or Otedola because this is one of the things you can’t change or control.
Weather
There are times you wake up to a rainy day when you’ve already planned to spend the day at the beach with your friends. At first, you'll be so angry because it’s not what you wished for.

You shouldn't let that feeling last all day long, because the weather is out of your control. You have to just make the best out of a rainy day, and find the bright side.
You Can't Please Everyone
People do this a lot. They spend their time trying to please people forgetting that human beings are insatiable. Seriously, just stop. Trying to make everyone happy is a thankless, soul-sucking endeavour that will only leave you drained and miserable. Just do the right thing and leave the rest. If they are happy, fine, if they are not, fine.
The past
If it is in the past, it already happened and it’s beyond your control. Yesterday is over. You can't get it back. There are no re-dos in life. Stop dwelling on the past; you can't change it. Lace up and keep moving. Most people sometimes wish they had the power to go back in time just for a couple of minutes and fix a mistake they made! Well, you can’t. So, you have to accept it as it is and be a lot more strategic with the future because the few days you have ahead of you at one point, will become your past.

Change
Change is one thing that is constant, inevitable and also uncontrollable. It doesn’t matter if you like it or not, change keeps happening. New ideas overtake old ideas as the world keeps moving forward. Much of the depression, sadness and anxiety that people feel today is because they do not accept change. Truth is, you just have to learn to go with the flow, and see these differences as opportunities to do something new and exciting with life.
Last but not least is, Death
The last thing you can’t control in life is death. We’re all scared of dying to some degree. People are so scared of dying, that they forget to live! So, live and embrace life until death comes knocking.
