Before she became this, gracing the billboards, Grammys and several other awards, Beyoncé Knowles was an aspiring singer from Houston, Texas.

She Had the Entrepreneurial Spirit Since She was a Child 
Beyonce realized her value at an early age which is very significant in the lives of successful entrepreneurs.

Beyonce’s Dance Teacher Discovered her Singing Ability
In an interview with her childhood teacher, Darlette Johnson told CNN in 2013 that she hummed a song, and Beyonce finished the song perfectly which blew her away. 
She went ahead to tell her parents when they came to pick her up from the dance class.


She was Remarkably Less Popular and Bullied by Mean Girls.
In the book titled Becoming Beyoncé written by J. Randy Taraborrelli, It revealed that Beyonce went through bullying in school. She was a really shy and quiet girl who always looked at the ground and never raised her hand in class.

Beyonce is a Generous Being
In 2010, Beyonce donated her entire salary from the 2008 film Cadillac Records to a rehab facility in Brooklyn. She met with women in treatment there while preparing for the role of James, who battled drug addiction, and said the experience had a profound effect on her. 
She said and I quote
“Through their stories, I realized that all of us have our personal struggles and we all have something to overcome.” Drug addiction, she went on, “has a stigma that must be removed". Beyoncé also served as an ambassador for the 2012 World Humanitarian Day.

She Battled Depression
Beyoncé revealed she suffered from depression for two years after Destiny’s Child split up in 2006. According to her: “I didn’t eat. I stayed in my room. I was in a really bad place in life, going through that lonely period: ‘Who am I? Who are my friends?’ My life changed.” 
In 2011, she also told The Sun that she took a year off to focus on herself and thanks to her mother with getting her back on track.

Beyoncé Works Hard to Protect Her Image
You can say she is successful and careful when it comes to protecting her image. She keeps all her interviews in an archive, and she does that in case there is any discrepancy between what she actually said and the quoted source. Everything the star posts are strategically planned out. Beyoncé has a specific image for herself and wants to protect it at all costs. She goes as far as hiring her own paparazzi and a brand manager.


Beyoncé Has Several Side Businesses. 
Queen Bey is not just a successful entertainer. She has also done well with her other businesses. She founded the House of Deréon clothing line with her mother and the name comes from her grandmother's name - Agnes Dereon. She has also launched several fragrance lines including, Heat and Beyonce’s Pulse.


Beyonce’s Work Ethic is Incredible. 
If there’s anything I learned from reading Becoming Beyonce, it’s that Beyoncé is a hard worker. She is a perfectionist who doesn’t rest until she has everything just the way she wants it. Whether it’s late dance practices or all-night in the studio, Beyoncé doesn’t rest until everything is perfect. She also showed the same energy during her legendary Coachella performance (Beychella).
